Advanced Materials Network: MISE Finale Workshop 21 – 22 June 2021

Advanced Energy Materials Network: Multiscale tuning of Interfaces and Surfaces for Energy Applications (MISE) Finale Workshop 21 – 22 June 2021 (On line)

MISE will be holding a virtual Finale Workshop to culminate the programme and showcase the outcomes of the collaboration at the interface of energy materials including catalysis, modelling, synthesis, fabrication, and soft matter materials.  We had hoped that this might be an in person event, have now opted to go online.  With this in mind we are going for an innovative platform, Gather town.  This will allow for a high degree of interaction during the conference facilitating self- organised meetings and break-outs through provision of enclosed virtual spaces and poster sessions where the presenters can defend their posters as the attendees wander around the virtual space. Underpinning this there is an exciting programme starting each day with plenaries from Matt Rosseinsky and Bob Freer Leading into interspersed keynote and project talks with ample time for breaks and poster sessions.

Multiscale Tuning of Interfaces and Surfaces for Energy Applications (MISE) is an EPSRC networking Centre built around a partnership between four UK universities: St Andrews, Edinburgh, Bath and

Birmingham. The core research programme has been addressing topics relating to optimisation of interface structures, morphologies, and compositions to enhance performance, longevity, and value, achieved through collaborative working and networking between partners and the wider network.  The centre works closely with the other EPSRC Centres of Advanced Materials for Energy Generation and Transmission in order to address the climate challenges that we face.

We hope you can join us at this event!

Registration is free but essential so that we can send joining instructions and a short tutorial on how to navigate the platform and numbers of active attendees need to be controlled.
